About me

First and foremost, I am a graduate student at UC Berkeley - currently trying to understand how cell identity is formed using genetic, genomic, and developmental approaches. This site features scientific questions that interest me as well as my scientific background.

I encourage you to reach out if you are interested in my work or have questions about what I am all about - shoot me an email at jenna122790 at gmail.

Aside from being a scientist, I am a twenty something trying to figure out my own personal and scientific identity. The challenges of grad school have left me in want of a guide book to help traverse the complicated paths and trails of this journey. In the words of my lab-mate and great friend, "Hasn't someone already figured this stuff out?". The answer is YES - everyone who has made it out with a degree in hand has - but academic life can be isolating and there isn't always an obvious way to share.

This is my attempt at sharing what I learn and experience in the **highly optimistic ** hope that I might help another fellow struggler of science lead a project, land a career, achieve work-life balance, or maybe even attain THE perfect lab notebook set-up.

Thanks for reading!
